Usually when we think of parties, especially parties as intimate as baby showers, we usually think that elaborate themes are called for. It has to be based upon some TV show with weird looking characters, or the new trends that are coming out geared towards the young. Others would even go so far as to apply diaper or baby bottle themes to these intimate gatherings. And now that you're going to have your first girl, you think that of course you should create a similar theme for your party, with all the expenses that would naturally entail.
But should you really be that concerned with finding a definite theme? I would say no. In fact, you can do with just a color motif. And what motif would suit you better than a pink one in celebration of the new girl member of the family? To be honest there are many ways for you to decorate and prepare for a pink themed party of your own design.
One of the best preparations you can make would be to send out invites that reflect the motif. And definitely those invites would be colored pink all over. You can buy these invitations in party stores or you can just make some yourself with two pieces of pink paper in different shades. Baby bottle or bib shapes would be awesome complements to the whole event.
In decorating, streamers, balloons and confetti should all retain shades of pink. But be warned however, too much pink in the room can give a lot of strain to the eyes. So trying to balance it out with whites should generally solve the problem.
